The Christine M. Kleinert Institute is located in the city of Louisville, Kentucky. Situated in north-central Kentucky at the Falls of the Ohio River, the city is best known as the site of the annual Kentucky Derby of horse racing, held on the first Saturday in May. You will often hear the greater Louisville area referred to as "Kentuckiana," a word created to combine "Kentucky" and "Indiana."
