ASRM Composite Tissue Allotransplantation Update Session

Submission Information:

The "Composite Tissue Allotransplantation (CTA) Update Session" will be held on January 14, 2008, in conjunction with the American Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery meeting. Internationally known hand and transplant surgeons and researchers will provide updates on immunosuppression strategies in CTA and discuss current status of CTA recipients. Abstracts may be submitted via e-mail . Abstracts must be received by 5:00 PM Eastern Standard Time Monday, October 1, 2007. Abstract Guidelines: Abstracts must meet the submission criteria detailed below.

  1. Format: Abstracts must be in English. All abbreviations must be defined before being used as an abbreviation in the text. Paper size: 8.5' x 11"; font size/type: 11-point Times New Roman. All margins 1.25 inches. Single-spaced. All abstract submissions must fit on one page to be accepted for review.

  2. Title: Type in bold UPPERCASE letters, not to exceed 120 characters (with spaces). Author names should be listed using full first and last names, middle intials (where applicable).

  3. Structure: Include background, methods, results, and conclusions.

  4. Conflict of Interest: List any significant financial interest/relationship with manufacturer(s)/provider(s) of any of the products/services that you plan to discuss including scientific officer, consultant, stock holder, speakers bureau, etc.

  5. Contact Information: Provid the e-mail, postal address, and phone number of each presenting author, using an asterisk (*) to indicate the author who will be the contact person for all correspondence. Include Department, University, City, State (two-letter abbreviation), and Country.

Abstract Review Process:

Abstracts will be peer reviewed for oral presentations by the symposium Organizing Committee. Abstracts of the highest scientific merit will be accepted for oral presentation. Participants will be notified of acceptance by October 8, 2007. Specific format for presentations will be provided at a later date.
