Responsibilities of CMKI FellowsClinicsStaff average 2 days of clinics per week. Fellows see patients in the clinic before the staff and formulate a treatment plan. The staff then evaluates the patient and the fellow's treatment plan.SurgeryFellows assist in surgery with their staff.CallIn general, the fellows take primary call with the staff with whom they are rotating. The clinical call duties of the Hand Surgery Service physicians include 24-hour coverage of Jewish Hospital and University of Louisville Hospital. The attendings remain in-house for immediate availability to the Fellows on call.TeachingWhile the staff give the majority of the lectures at morning conference, fellows are also expected to participate. Fellows are assigned formal presentations, as well as journal clubs, and case presentations. |
